About Pokémon Fire Red Version

Pokémon Fire Red Version is the definitive remake of the original role-playing games that started it all—Pokémon Red and Green. Released for the Game Boy Advance, this game transports players back to the Kanto region with updated graphics, new features, and a massive amount of post-game content.

As a young trainer from Pallet Town, you will choose your first partner—Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle—and embark on a journey to complete the Pokédex. Along the way, you must defeat the eight Gym Leaders, dismantle the criminal organization Team Rocket, and challenge the Elite Four to become the Pokémon Champion.

Strategy Tips for New Players

  1. Choosing a Starter: Bulbasaur (Grass/Poison) is considered "Easy Mode" because it has a type advantage against the first two Gym Leaders (Rock and Water). Charmander (Fire) is considered "Hard Mode" as it struggles early on but evolves into the powerful Charizard. Squirtle (Water) is a balanced choice.
  2. Catching Abra: Early in the game, you can find Abra on Route 24. It will teleport away immediately, so throw a Poké Ball on the very first turn to catch it. Its evolution, Alakazam, is one of the strongest special attackers in the game.
  3. Using the VS Seeker: Don't forget to use the VS Seeker item often. It is the best way to grind experience levels before facing the Elite Four.
  4. Legendary Birds: Make sure to bring plenty of Ultra Balls when hunting Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Save your game before interacting with them, as you only get one chance to catch them.
