About Pokémon Stadium
Pokémon Stadium brings the original 151 Pokémon to life in full 3D. Originally released for the Nintendo 64 in 2000, this game focuses purely on turn-based battling rather than an RPG adventure. It allows players to command their favorite monsters in spectacular arenas with dynamic camera angles and the iconic commentary of the in-game announcer.
Unlike the handheld games, there is no world to explore or wild Pokémon to catch. Instead, you participate in various tournaments and cups using a team of "Rental Pokémon." The game is divided into two main modes: the Stadium cups, where you fight through four difficulty tournaments, and the Gym Leader Castle, where you challenge the Kanto Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, and the Champion.

Strategy Tips for New Players
- Master the Rental System: Since you cannot transfer Pokémon from GameBoy cartridges in this web version, you must rely on Rentals. Look for Pokémon with diverse movesets. Kadabra, Starmie, Jolteon, and Lapras are famous for having excellent rental stats and moves in this game.
- Type Coverage is King: The AI in Pokémon Stadium (especially in Round 2) is smart. Ensure your team of 6 covers a wide variety of types so you can switch out to counter your opponent.
- Speed Matters: In Gen 1 mechanics, Speed is critical for critical hit rates. Fast Pokémon like Alakazam and Jolteon hit critical hits very often.
- Mini-Game Tips: In the "Sushi-Go-Round" mini-game (Lickitung), focus on the expensive items to win. In "Rock Harden" (Metapod/Kakuna), listen to the sound cues rather than just watching the rocks fall to time your harden ability perfectly.
