Strategy Tips for New Players

1. Starter Choice: Mudkip (Water) is the optimal choice for Sapphire. It evolves into Swampert (Water/Ground), making it immune to Electric attacks and giving it a massive advantage against Team Aqua's Fire-type rivals and Rock-type gym leaders.
2. Catch a Lotad: Early in the game, look for Lotad. It evolves into Ludicolo (Water/Grass), which is incredibly strong in this version because Kyogre's rain boosts its water moves and activates its Swift Swim ability.
3. Steven Stone: In Sapphire, the Champion is Steven Stone (Steel/Rock specialist), not Wallace. Bring a strong Fighting or Ground type (like Blaziken or Swampert) to the final battle to deal with his Metagross.
4. The Master Ball: You get one Master Ball in the Team Aqua Hideout. It is best saved for Latias (the roaming legendary dragon) as she will flee immediately upon encounter. Kyogre is static and can be caught with Ultra Balls.
